ESVE Outreach Educational Grant 2020

Call for Applications

One of the main missions of ESVE is the promotion of education of veterinary endocrinology in Europe. Hence, since 2018 the ESVE has offered an annual Educational Grant to promote endocrinology education in European countries of low-income.

 

Veterinary societies from selected countries can now apply for funding to organize an endocrinology symposium, a lecture, or a local pre- or post-congress day with an endocrinology theme.

Which countries can apply?

All European countries with a GDP (nominal) per capita below 20,000 USD.

 

According to IMF data from 2019, the following countries fulfill these criteria:

Slovak Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Montenegro, Serbia, Belarus, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kosovo, Armenia, Moldova, Ukraine, Kazakahstan.

How to apply for the ESVE Educational Grant

Please prepare an application in Microsoft Word format (1 to 2 pages):

  1. Explaining how the initiative will help promote endocrinology education in your country/region.
  2. Providing a description of the program, date and location, as well as the expected number of attendees. If desired, ESVE can help with suggesting speakers.
  3. Detailing the budget and the requested financial support. The maximum annual amount dedicated to this program is 10,000€.

ESVE will also assist with publicity for the event by promoting the chosen event on its website and social media.

 

We are happy to accept applications from committees or societies but each application should have a named lead applicant who agrees to take responsibility for organisation of the event. One grant will be awarded each year by the Educational Grant Committee. We are sorry that it will not be possible to provide feedback on unsuccessful applications. The event should take place within 12 months of the grant being awarded otherwise funding will be withdrawn. ESVE will be not be liable for any incurred costs made should a full or part cancellation occur of the event(s).

Deadline for Applications

The deadline for the application for 2020 is March 1st. We aim to give a decision within 4 weeks of the deadline.
