Dear Summer School Participant,
We are really looking forward to seeing you in Bologna for the long-awaited ESVE Summer School!
Ahead of travelling to Italy, we would like to remind you of some important information.
-
Although many travel-related Covid restrictions have been lifted, we continue to be very keen to make the Summer School as safe as possible for attendees, and to make sure everyone everyone is Covid-aware:
-
It is very important that you are familiar with the local rules in Italy surrounding mandatory self-isolation for at least 7 days for travellers who test positive for Covid whilst in Italy, even if fully vaccinated
-
To minimise the risk of bringing the infection with you, when are travelling to Italy, we would recommend you wear a face-covering when in confined spaces with others e.g. airports, coaches, planes. This will reduce any potential Covid exposure en route.
-
Face coverings are no longer mandatory in most indoor settings, but you are welcome to use a face-covering whenever you wish during the summer school
-
Please also consider bringing some Covid lateral flow (antigen) tests with you to use in case you develop any symptoms during the summer school
-
Please do not attend lectures / social events / meet with others at the summer school if you have Covid symptoms or you think you may be infected with Covid
-
Please ensure your travel insurance will cover you for any costs associated with travel delay, disruption or self-isolation due to Covid - and please be aware that the organisers cannot take responsibility for this. Thank you.
-
There is further detailed information about the Summer School on our website at https://esve.org/summerschool2022/info.aspx
-
Please remember that the lecture notes are being provided electronically and printed copies will not be available, so don’t forget to bring your laptop or tablet.
We are looking forward to an exciting week of endocrinology!
