Lucy Davison

Lucy graduated from the University of Cambridge in 1997 and after several years in small animal practice in the north east of England she undertook a PhD in canine diabetes at the Royal Veterinary College, awarded in 2004.

 

After a residency in internal medicine at Cambridge, Lucy passed the ECVIM and RCVS Diplomas in Small Animal Medicine in 2006. After a year as a clinical physician in Cambridge, she undertook a Wellcome Trust Intermediate Clinical Fellowship in diabetes genetics with Prof John Todd at the Cambridge Institute for Medical Research followed by a Wellcome Trust Veterinary Postdoctoral Fellowship in functional genomics at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, University of Oxford.

 

She is currently a University Lecture in Genetics and Small Animal Medicine at the University of Cambridge and she is interested in all aspects of endocrinology, immunology and genetics, with a special focus on canine diabetes.

 

Lucy has been a board member and Secretary of ESVE for several years.
