Lucy Davison

Lucy Davison graduated from the University of Cambridge and is a European and RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine.

 

After several years in practice, and following a PhD in canine diabetes mellitus at the Royal Veterinary College and residency training in Cambridge, she undertook Wellcome Trust and MRC-funded research fellowships in human genetics and functional genomics at the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford.

 

She is currently Professor of Veterinary Clinical Genetics at the Royal Veterinary College and has also recently joined the Bukhman Centre for Research Excellence in Type 1 Diabetes at the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism.

 

Her research focuses on comparative endocrinology, immunology, genetics and translational functional genomics, particularly in diabetes mellitus.
